The Week in Review and the Week Ahead - 2/6

THE WEEK IN REVIEW
A great week of practice. Perhaps our best so far. I am excited about where the boys are and how far they have come. We have one final push as we prepare for the championship weeks of the season. This has been a great group of guys that get in the water ready to go every practice despite being physically drained.

We had great performances in our meet this week. I waa very impressed with how we performed.  Great swims and great diving. Congratulations to Shane Lonergan on his qualification for diving regionals and to Dirk for another lifetime best.

Nathan Vance gets my vote for stud of the meet for his combo of 500, 100 Breast and 400 Free relay and for saying "thank you" no matter where I put him. Other great swims came from Ryan Hulst in the 100 Back, Luke DeLeeuw in the 200, Justin Weener in the 100 Back, and Michael Sikorski and Zach Visser in the 500.  And of course, a big congratulations to Konrad for qualifying for state in both the 50 and 100. GREAT JOB by all.

Many guys are getting to a point where they are hitting (or at least getting close to) lifetime best performances. That’s a great place to be at this point in the season. If you’re interested,  here is a list of lifetime bests.

Another way to check on the results on meets that we are hosting, is a new free iPhone app called "Meet Mobile" it can be used on your iPad as well.
