Suits, Team Pictures, & Weather Implications

Great first day of practice today!  Just from watching one practice so far, I think overall we're further along than we were at the start of last season, which is nice to see.  Below are our two quotes for the week.  (If you're a parent reading this, ask your daughter how these relate to our efforts in the pool!)

Suits

• Please bring last year's team suit with you to practice on Thursday.
• We're going to get our suit sizes nailed-down and place the order on Friday.

Team Pictures

• Our Team picture is going to be next Thursday (8/16) at 5:00pm at the Holland Aquatic Center (HAC).  We will be done at 6:00pm.
• Picture packets will be passed out in each family's team folder at the Athletics' Night next Monday.  If you aren't able to attend, make sure they get sent home next week with your daughter!
• We will get our pictures taken and then introduce our dryland circuit, so bring shorts and tennis shoes.
• Thursday is also check-in day at the high school, so be sure to get there early enough so you can make it to the HAC by 5:00pm.

Weather Implications

• While we're outside at Bouws for the next week-and-a-half we may run into some rain and/or thunderstorms.
• If it's simply raining, we will still have practice at Bouws.
• If there's lightning, practice will be either at a different location or cancelled.  
• I'll make the call by 7:00am and get the word out.

I am thrilled that we've finally started our season!  Should be a fun journey.
