THIRD PLACE for a second year in a row! We had a GREAT Prelims on Friday, putting ourselves in the position for a fun battle on Saturday.  Those are the kinds of meets that you want to be a part of.  We should be nothing but proud of how we finished out our season!  I would consider getting third overall landing among the stars.

Here's the long list of results, which includes THREE new Varsity Records. (Incidentally, we were the only team besides Grand Rapids Catholic Central to have at least one swimmer in every event on Saturday...pretty cool!)


200 Medley Relay

• The team of Erica, Emily, Val, and Katherine finished 4th with a time of 1:50.69. 
• Their prelims time of 1:50.32 smashed their Varsity Record from last year.

200 Freestyle

• In prelims, Robyn dropped 3.13 seconds to go 2:01.19. She finished 14th with a 2:02.49.
• In prelims, Emma dropped 3.59 seconds to go 2:01.39. She finished 12th with a 2:02.14.

200 IM

• Katherine dropped 1.06 seconds to finish 5th with a new Varsity Record of 2:14.20.
• Anna dropped 1.83 seconds to finish 17th with a 2:18.87.
• Taylor dropped 1.5 seconds to finish 23rd with a lifetime best of 2:21.43.

50 Free

• Val finished 9th with a lifetime best of 25.45.
• Hannah finished 11th with a 25.50. Her prelims time of 25.29 was a lifetime best.

Diving

• Areal finished 30th with 124.45 through 5 rounds.
• Emily Bolt finished 31st with 119.90 through 5 rounds.

100 Fly

• Emily Slenk dropped 2.08 seconds to finish 10th in a 1:01.19.
• Val finished 13th with a 1:01.75. Her prelims time of 1:01.13 was a lifetime best by .64.
• Sara dropped .86 seconds to finish 27th with a 1:03.23.

100 Free

• Hannah finished 6th with a 55.15. Her prelims time of 54.33 was a lifetime best by 1.91 sec.
• Erica finished 15th with a 56.57. Her prelims time of 56.30 was a lifetime best by .70 sec.
• Katie Hulst finished 29th with a 57.19.
• Gabby Hoffman finished 38th with a 58.24.

500 Free

• Emma dropped 9.68 seconds to finish 7th with a 5:23.67.
• Robyn dropped 14.17 seconds to go 5:24.26 in prelims. She placed 8th in finals with a 5:32.57.
• Anna dropped 8.49 seconds to finish 12th with a 5:28.14.

200 Freestyle Relay

• The team of Erica, Sara, Katie, and Hannah finished 11th with a 1:42.80.

100 Backstroke

• Katherine dropped .73 seconds to go 58.61 in prelims. She finished 5th in 59.58.
• Emily dropped 1.93 seconds to finish 11th in 1:00.56.

100 Breaststroke

• Erica dropped 3.06 seconds to smash her own Varsity Record with a 1:08.69. She finished 7th in finals with a 1:09.75.
• Taylor finished 17th with a 1:12.35.

400 Freestyle Relay

• The team of Val, Hannah, Morgan, and Katherine finished a gutsy 4th with a time of 3:42.00.
