It may seem like a common sense statement, but you don't have to look far to see where or when people's attitudes or efforts change as they go through their day to day routine.
We can all fall into this slump. I see so often how sports imitate life and the lessons we can gain from being part of a team translate well to other parts of life. The encouragement in the title "Different Day, Same Discipline" is applicable to me as it is to each athlete.
We will continue to practice during this last week of the Christmas break from 8:00-11:00. Remember, these are required practices unless excused by a parent for family vacations. Being there on time is beneficial to the athlete and the team.
Note the special activities we have planned for this week. These are fun team building and bonding activities. I know that a couple of them don't coincide with the diver's schedule very well, but I want to encourage them to be a part of what we have planned.
