Calendar, Physicals, Athletics Night, Pictures Info, and ACT/SAT Dates

Here are a few reminders and a few dates to keep in mind as we head into our season...13 Days!

Season Calendar
  • The full practice and meet schedule is posted on our Google Calendar now. To access it, click on the Practice Calendar link in the right-hand side bar underneath Girls Team Pages.
  • Note that our first Saturday Practice is on Saturday, August 27th. All practices are required, including Saturdays.
  • For divers, once our regular afternoon time starts, you will begin stretching once the swimmers begin and then do your actual board work from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
Physicals
  • Please get your Physical Form into Jennifer Bieri, our high school athletics secretary, ASAP. If you do not have a physical on file, you will not be able to get in the water.
  • By sometime next week, I'll know exactly who has them in and who doesn't, so please make sure you're not someone I have to hound come next week!
Athletics Night: Tuesday, August 16th @ 7:00pm
  • This year's Athletics Night will be led by Calvin College.
  • Two separate speakers will begin at 7:00pm, one for parents and one for athletes.
  • Attending this event is required for all Fall athletes!
  • After the speakers, we will have our own Swimming and Diving meeting where you will be given our team handbook and get a little more info about our program.
Team Pictures: Wednesday, August 17th @ 3:00pm
  • Be READY for pictures at 3:00pm.
  • We will be wearing our team parkas for this event, which will be handed out that day or earlier that week.
  • You will receive a pictures form on Tuesday, August 16th at our team meeting. If you will NOT be at the athletics night and need the picture form in advance, please let me know!
ACT/SAT Info
  • If you're looking to sign up for testing in the Fall, you should sign up for the ACT on 10/22 and the SAT on 10/1. The other Fall dates conflict with West Michigan Relays (ACT on 9/10) and Conference (SAT on 11/5).
  • It is certainly acceptable to miss a Saturday practice for a testing date, but we ask that you avoid a meet day if at all possible!

If you have any questions about anything that goes into our season, don't hesitate to get in contact with me. Looking forward to getting the 2016 season rolling!
