The Week Ahead: 10.10 to 10.15

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience
in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself,
"I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along."
Eleanor Roosevelt

Although the end of last week felt somewhat normal again in our day-to-day routines, it was the end of what felt like to me a very, very long two-week stretch. I've been glad for a weekend to reset and hope that this upcoming week fully feels like more of a normal week...I think we can all use that!

Having our class pictures this week reminds us how precious little time is left in our season. Next week is our Senior Night, and then things quickly start to fade from there. Having 4 weeks until Conference and 6 weeks to State sounds like a long time, but will go lightning fast: that's 19 practices until Conference and 11 until Conference taper starts...crazy! With so little time left, we need to be sure that we are very focused on every little detail that can set us up for success. Are we honing in good habits on each push off, breakout, finish, approach, hurdle, and entry? When asked to give our all, are we truly giving 100% and facing the fears that we have, facing the pain that we may incur? Are we getting enough rest? Are we keeping up on school work? In short, are we maximizing every possible opportunity to allow us to reach our potential? We've been on a great journey, but we need to heighten our focus in the practices that remain...
