The Week Ahead: 10.9 to 10.14

And once the storm is over, you won’t remember
how you made it through, how you managed to survive.
You won’t even be sure whether the storm is really over.
But one thing is certain: when you come out of the storm,
you won’t be the same person who walked in.
That’s what this storm’s all about.
~Haruki Murakami

After a two-meet week, we enter a long stretch–essentially two weeks–without a meet. I think this will provide a solid block of training, a storm if you will, that comes at a great point in the season. And, we'll certainly be ready to swim in a meet by the end of it!

As always be sure to stay on top of your studies and on top of your health. With cold bugs going around and cooler weather coming, we need to do everything in our power to stay healthy and able to bring 100% each day in practice. It's this point in the season where you have to be really intentional about everything you do, from school work to sleep to your effort level each day in the pool. Don't fall prey to doing "just enough" or being comfortable...push yourself now so you can thrive later!

Normal practice times all week, including a 7:00 to 9:00am Saturday practice.
