God wouldn't place a dream in your heart if He didn't plan on guiding you towards that dream. No matter how big, anything is possible.
WOW!!!!! What a meet on Tuesday! What a way to initiate our new coach, and our new swimmers with a 5 team meet! Congrats to all on a great meet. Unfortunately the individual meet results were not in a format that we could put on the blog, but we've included the final scores of each meet below.

The week ahead... August 26-September 1
Monday- Practice 3:15-5:45. Please be sure you are at the "ramp" on Mainstreet by 2:50 to catch your rides to the pool. We understand that you want to see your friends after school, but it's not fair to the rest of your car pool and especially your driver if you are late. They don't have time to go looking for you, and we don't want drivers having to rush from school to the pool. Everyone needs to be responsible to be on time, and to let your driver know if you don't need a ride.
Tuesday - Meet at Otsego. The bus leaves the Aquatic Center at 3:45. Meet your car pools by the ramp at 3:30 to catch your ride to the pool. If you don't need a ride from school to the pool, you need to let your driver know. Again, it's not fair to the rest of your car pool and your driver if they don't know where you are. Take along a decent snack/lunch or money to go to Subway or Big Apple after school before the meet. We will have sack lunches for the girls after the meet for on the way home. (thank you Douthitts). Pick up after the meet will be at the Aquatic Center.
Wednesday - Practice 3:15-5:45
Thursday - Practice 3:15-5:45. First Football Cleanup. This is a great opportunity for our team to earn some $$ to provide extra things like gifts for our seniors, our end of season banquet, clothing items and other "extras". Please meet your coaches by the concessions building at the football stadium near the end of the 4th quarter. We will provide plastic gloves and plastic bags for cleaning up trash. If you have a gas powered leaf blower, please bring it... they are great for cleaning up the bleacher area. We really need all of you to participate... it usually only takes about 30 minutes if we all help. If you participate in 2/3 of our football cleanups this season, (August 30, September 14, October 5) you will get your HC Aquatics clothing for half price!!!
Friday - Practice 8-10am Note the change of time for practice, due to no school for students on Friday.
Other notes....
Our team suits should be in sometime this week. This is part of your HC uniform, and is covered in our team budget.
Our team clothing order should also be in sometime this week or next. The cost for this is $31.00 per athlete. If you worked at the Herman Miller Picnic or two of the three football cleanups, your cost is $15.50. This is for the t shirt you tie dyed at the retreat and the sweatpants you tried on and ordered. Money can be given to any of the coaches ASAP. Make checks out to Holland Christian Schools.
Looking ahead, on Monday (Labor Day) we will have a combined optional practice with our friends at Hamilton High School. Practice is from 6:00-8:00 at Hamilton's pool. (Hamilton Middle School 4845 136th ave). This is an optional practice, but please remember that we have a meet on Thursday against Grand Rapids Christian and Spring Lake.
