I tell the swimmers that "Taper Begins Today" starting on the first day of the season. Hard work throughout the season pays off when you hit taper at the end. The proof is in the results. From season and lifetime bests to letter qualifying times to new state cuts, we had a great meet.
A few major drops and accomplishments stand out, but there were so many throughout the weekend that you may not have noticed. Take a look for yourself on the Results Page. Remember that in the splits linked below, any times with negative numbers is a show of improvement.
THIS WEEK
Second Chance Meet - Tuesday, March 3: Most boys will practice Monday and swim in the meet on Tuesday evening. It's a great opportunity to swim a couple additional events while still shaved and tapered. Boys need to tell me what two events they want to swim by 6pm Sunday.
I need to know by Sunday at 6pm IF/What you want to swim in the second Chance meet.
Diving Regionals at Hamilton - Thursday, March 5
Sam Nykamp is qualified. With the meet back at Hamilton, I'd love to see some parents back there to support his efforts to make it to the State meet.
Warm up will be at 3:00 pm
Meet begins at 5:00 pm

Team Banquet - End of the season banquet will be on Monday, March 16 at 6:30. Details have been emailed to you.
