Conference Week

Growth  -  Resilience  -  Intensity  -  Tenacity

This Team Is Built On It

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:58

This week, for most, is the culmination of the weeks of hard work that began 14 weeks ago. The completion of a season is always bitter sweet. The thrill of achieved goals, of team victories, and of personal accomplishment is always amid the backdrop of what I know is an end to a great deal of hard work and the team bond that comes from that hard work. So, let's finish this season in a way that makes the work worthwhile.

THE "SANDY"
Our winner of the gritty performance of the meet from Tuesday's meet goes to Josh Rozema. Josh finished out his HS career dual meets in high fashion with a personal best six dive performance. His 177.35 bested his previous career high by over 12 points. Josh, thanks for your hard work and leadership for this team and especially for the smaller group of divers that you've impacted for the last four seasons.

FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD
Second Chance Meet Hosted by Holland - Tuesday, February 28 at 6:30
This meet will be hosted at the Holland Aquatic Center by Holland High School.

  • Final Meet for those not making State cuts.
  • This is a great opportunity for athletes to swim events that they didn't get a chance to swim at the Conference meet.
  • I need to know what events you want to swim by Sunday evening (Feb 26th).
SAVE THE DATE End of the season banquet will be held at the HS Cafeteria on Tuesday, March 14 at 6:30. More info will come in the next couple weeks.

FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY
Our Aquatics teams have an opportunity to help out our local Michigan Masters Swimming program and make some money for our two programs in return.

The two sessions we are looking to fill are Saturday, April 15 right at the Holland Aquatic Center. We are looking for volunteer athletes and parents for timing, posting heat sheets, and performing general duties to support the meet directors. We expect to be approximately 3.5 hours in length. We need these positions filled for both sessions.

IF we don't fill these slots the opportunity for the money for our programs will be offered to someone else. That is tshirt money, breakfast money, banquet money, etc. that someone else will get. Let's fill these slots with the great athletes and parents that we can offer.
