Week 7 - Back to the Routine

Though I hate to see the end of Christmas break, I appreciate a return to the routine that a school schedule brings. Though the routine will be disrupted a bit with exam week around the corner (see the plan below), it also ushers in the back half of our long season.

I appreciated how this entire team stayed focused throughout the break. Being on time and putting in the hard work throughout the break will be part of the pay off  at the end of the season. It also offered some of the fun events that are part of the memories that will last long beyond the end of the season. It's the breakfast and bowling, and the New Year's relays that guys talk about no matter their swimming or diving ability and it is those times with the athletes that I love the most about this job.

NEW YEARS RELAYS - This annual event always brings out the best kind of rivalry and a great deal of fun. This year the Tax Collectors and the Skibidi Swimmers, with a couple new relay records and  controversial, ended the main events in a tie. The Saturday morning tiebreaker in the middle school gym determined our overall winner. The Skibidi Swimmers coming out victorious. You can see photos and videos at the bottom of the page. Here are results and records.
