It's D3 Invitational week! This meet is always a highlight of the season. It will be a great way to measure where we're at halfway through. It will be a fun and exciting meet! Make sure you are getting plenty of sleep this week. Let's get excited, have energy, and cheer loud. We're proud of you girls! Go Maroons!
This Week:
Monday: Pool 4:00-6:00pm
Tuesday: Meet Day!!
Home Meet vs. Jenison at the Holland Aquatic Center
• Warm-up starts at 5:30pm. Meet starts at 6:30pm.
• Be on deck by 5:10pm for devotions.

Wednesday: ETS 3:00-3:45pm, Pool 4:00-6:00pm
Thursday: Pool 3:00-5:00pm
- Please note afternoon practice time change! This is due to pool space and availability.
Saturday: D3 Invite!
• Please be on deck by 10:10am for devotions.
• Warm-up starts at 10:30am. The meet starts at 12:00pm.
• We are looking for timers for this meet. Please sign up HERE if you are able and interested!
• We are looking for someone to run awards and also looking for a runner to help with collecting timing papers and assist coaches with distributing awards (this is a good job for a younger sibling). Please sign up HERE if interested, thanks!
• Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door or pre-purchased HERE.
Format of Meet:
• This is a 12 team invitational with Division 3 schools.
• Each team is limited to 4 entries per individual event and 3 entries per relay (A, B, and C). As this is much more limited than a dual meet lineup, I will do my best to get people at least 1+ swim while maintaining our fastest possible lineup.
• The top 16 overall score in each event, regardless of heat. A and B relays can score.
• Awards will be handed out during the meet to the top 3 for each relay and top 8 for each individual event.
• Divers will compete an 11-dive meet that will run simultaneously with swimming.

- Tuesday, October 6 - Away meet vs. Hamilton at Hamilton Middle School (6:30pm start time).
- Friday, October 9 - MISCA Dive Meet at Oakland University
- Friday, October 9 - Football cleanup after the home game at HCHS
- Saturday, October 10 - MISCA Swim Meet at Oakland University
- Tuesday, October 13 - Away meet vs. Unity at Hudsonville High School (6:00pm start time).
- Tuesday, October 20 - Home meet vs. GR Christian at the HAC (6:30pm start time). Senior Night!!
Other Notes:
• State Meet Hotel Information: We will be staying at the Crowne Plaza Auburn Hills for the state meet at Oakland University from November 19-21. Parents, if your daughter has qualified for the state meet and you are interested in booking a hotel room at a discounted rate, please click on the link here. We will be getting hotel rooms booked for the girls. This link is for parents/HC spectators to book your hotel accommodations. Please let us know if you have any questions!
• Football Cleanups: Below are the dates our team will be responsible for cleaning up after the home football games:

• Volunteer Opportunities: Parents, thank you to all of you who have signed up to bring snacks, time, make sack dinners, etc. We truly appreciate it! HERE is the link for the volunteer opportunities. We couldn't do it without you. Thanks!
• Pop Can Fundraiser: We are collecting pop cans to raise money for our team discretionary funds. These funds are used for a variety of different things for the girls throughout the season. When you have money from the returned pop cans, you can give it to a coach. This fundraiser will run through September 30. The top three girls who raise the most money will get a prize!
