Discipline
is just choosing between
what you want
NOW
and what you want
MOST
We have a pretty normal week this time around with only one dual meet and our first Saturday practice. This is also our first full week of school. With our normal school-year routine beginning, we need to make sure that we're getting enough rest during the week. Seven-plus hours of sleep per night should be the goal! This may mean sacrificing some socializing, some time on social media (Facebook, Twitter...), etcetera, but that's worth not getting run down and sick.
Team Shirts
- Please turn in your money for the team shirts ASAP!
- They're $45 if you had your name put on them. You get a $15 discount (so they're $30) if you or a parent worked the Herman Miller Picnic this past summer.
Thursday 9.11
- Meet AWAY vs. Grand Rapids Christian @ Calvin College
- Bus LEAVES the Aquatic Center @ 4:15pm.
- Warm Up @ 5:30pm...Meet Starts @ 6:30pm.
- We get to swim in Calvin's Pool in the Venema Aquatic Center, which is a gorgeous facility. It's located inside the Spoelhof Athletics Center, which also includes their new basketball arena.
- GRCH will be providing a post-meet meal.
Friday 9.12
- Practice
- I will be at the MISCA Coaches Clinic in Battle Creek. Lisa will cover practice.
- ***UPDATE***
- Football Clean Up
- This is the second of our two football clean up dates!
- The more participation we have, the faster it goes! Blowers welcome.
- As I don't know when exactly I'll be getting back into town that night from Battle Creek, is there anyone who'd be willing to be the point person for the night? That will basically just involve coordinating with Dave Engbers and making sure everything's taken care of. If you'd be willing to take this on, let me know!
Saturday 9.13
- Our first Saturday practice! Woohoo!
- In the water from 8:00 to 10:00am. The pool opens at 7:00am now on Saturdays, so be prepared to be in the water at 8:00am.
- Pancakes to follow, so leave a little time afterward for that before you're picked up.
