The Week Ahead 8.26-8.30

We have our first full week under our belts and are getting into the groove of school and practice. We also got our first taste of our new dryland routine. We as coaches were so impressed with the strength and determination the girls showed at our pool dryland and in the weight room. These girls are not afraid of hard work!

Here are the details about our week ahead.

• Monday (8.26) 3:00 Dryland (Shoes and Clothes are needed!) Practice 3:30 to 5:30. Divers 4:00pm to 6:00pm
• Tuesday: Our first meet at home against Otsego. Please be on deck ready to go by 5:15pm. We will do devotions as a team and be in the water for warm up by 5:30pm. Meet starts at 6:30. I have not heard about our suits yet so returning swimmers please plan on wearing an old team suit. Freshman we will talk about what to wear at our Monday meeting. As for caps...unfortunately an entire box of caps was misplaced between middle school girls season and now. We have more ordered but they will not be here for another few weeks. There are a few caps in our bins but not enough for everyone to get a new one at this point. Please bring an HC cap with you along with your parka.
• Wednesday: 'Weight Room Wednesdays' 3:00-3:40. Practice 4:00-5:30 (Don't forget your workout gear...shoes and clothing) Divers 4:00-6:00
• Thursday: Practice 3:30-5:30, Divers 4:00-6:00
• FOOTBALL CLEAN UP! Thursday 8.29. Many hands make light work so any parents or siblings are willing to help we would love that. Clean up is right after the game. We meet by the pine trees across from the concessions near the end of the 4th quarter (approx 2 min on the game gl. We will then give instructions as needed. If you will not be at the game please have a friend text you when the end of the 4th quarter is close so you are able to meet us. If you have a battery powered leaf blower those help speed things up a bunch. 
• Friday: NO SCHOOL Practice 7am-9am for everyone.
• Labor Day: Just like years past we will be joining our friends from Hamilton in Hamilton from 6pm-8pm. This is an optional practice but highly encouraged.

Other Information

• Pictures - Our pictures from the season will be able to be found on the link in the sidebar or here. 
• Aquatics Store - Tuesday 8.27 is the last day our Aquatics Store will be open through HC. 
• Apparel - If you were not at our parent meeting last Tuesday we wanted to let you know the change that is being made with our team apparel. In order to keep costs down we have decided to go with one item that will last for all 4 years. The girls will have an opportunity to order this jacket with the HC Aquatics logo on the left chest along with their last name (on the upper sleeve most likely). This item will also take the place of any 'State Team' apparel. When our athletes qualify for the state meet we will have 'State Team' embroidered under the HC Aquatics logo then have the years they qualified embroidered on the sleeve once they are seniors. That being said the initial cost of the item is higher. Jackets are approx $95. (We do not have an exact total from BSN based on the number we will be ordering) These are not mandatory items but if the reason for not ordering is a financial one please let Diane or Lisa know and we will work something out with you. We hope to order them this week! Payment will be due upon arrival of the item and checks can be made out to Holland Christian.
