WHAT A WEEK! We are just past the midpoint of the season and finishing up the busiest week and a half on our schedule. Three meets in less than a week (a fourth in a ten day span when we wrap up our meet Tuesday) is rough on a body and tough mentally. Yet, this group of guys continues to press on and impress me and those they compete against.
Our two dual meets this week are great examples. Tuesday we had the opportunity to mix things up a little and yet guys swam those different events very well. Then, on Thursday, though we didn't have the most best times, many of our younger swimmers still swam the best times of their lives. If you haven't checked out SPLITS in a while you can do so in the right hand banner. Just click on 19/20 Meets & Results.
On a personal note, after spending much of last weekend with my mom in the hospital, I am feeling the exhaustion as much as the athletes, just in a different way. During this time of the season, it's even more important for all of us to practice GOOD HEALTH HABITS especially when it pertains to GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP.
