Happy New Year - The Week Ahead

Growth  -  Resilience  -  Intensity  -  Tenacity

This Team Is Built On It
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:58

OUR LAST MEET
We had a nice meet on Tuesday. Despite missing some athletes, we had some really solid performances in the middle of some really good holiday training. There were plenty of worthy athletes nominated for "Sandpaper Man," but this week Lee Assink gets the award for gritty performance of the meet. Lee had a couple great swims including a hard fought race to touch out Jenison for 4th in the 400 Free Relay to guarantee the meet win for
the Maroons.

Splits for Tuesday's meet and for all of our meets can be seen by clicking the "Meet Schedule & Results" link in the rightsize banner.

Back to some routine.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm ready to get the into some routine. The routine of the school day and the swim and dive season brings some sense of normalcy and rhythm that is comfortable. As far as the season goes, we've set a good foundation and the normal rhythm of the season helps to build on that foundation. During this time, training, sleep, healthy practices, not to mention focus on academics, are all equally important.

This meet is limited to 4 individual entries per event, so some of our younger swimmers may only be swimming relays or just one individual event plus a relay.

We still need timers for this event. Click on the link in the side bar,

Thank you in advance for all of your help with this event.
