This Team Is Built On It
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:58
RESILIENCE
This week's meet at EGR was a bit of a mixed bag. Some had one really good swim and one really bad swim. Many just had a really challenging meet. Some of that was the pace of the meet itself. But whatever the result or the reason, meets like we had on Thursday show us where we are in our training and where we have to go. It can seem like we are swimming against the current. In these times, RESILIENCE is the key. In those times, we need to try to escape the gravity of negativity by taking action and taking small steps forward by adjusting minor things like diet, sleep, practice intensity, pre-race routine, etc.. Your resiliency now will guarantee success later.

THE "SANDY"
There were a few different worthy nominees for this weeks "Sandpaper Man." This week we ended up with a tie. Teddy Hollebeek (11.5 second season best in the 500) and Braydon Rynsburger (4.5 second lifetime best in the 100 free) both get the award for gritty performance of the meet. Way to go guys.

Hair Bleaching
As we get closer to the end of the season, hair has become very chlorine damaged and is ready to be cut short for the championship meets. In the meantime, we have some fun with it. It is a year end, team bonding tradition. This tradition MAY take place near the end of the month. More details will come out by the end of the week.
This is never required, and an athlete and parent waiver form / permission slip will be coming out later.
