Growth - Resilience - Intensity - Tenacity
This Team Is Built On It
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:58
INTENSITY
I am certainly impressed. If you checked the results "vs lifetime" bests on the results page, you can see we had 24 lifetime bests yesterday with several others that were knocking on the door. We also had 5 new State cuts and some amazing relay times and performances on the boards for all of our divers. This is what intensity looks like, when it is used in a directed and positive way.
I'm so proud of this group of guys and the work they have put in so far. But, as I said in our post meet huddle, this just sets a new baseline for the remainder of the season and the work for the second half begins on Monday.
THE "SANDY"
Our winner of the gritty performance of the meet from Tuesday's meet goes to Sam DeBoer. Sam had a 3 second drop in his 200 and a 1 second drop in his 100. But more than that, he had two really gritty races in which he touched guys out.
I thought about handing out the Sandy award after Saturday's meet, hoping to have one from both meets to announce, but there were just too many worthy performances Saturday to narrow it down. Great job to all of you. You are all deserving today.

Hair Bleaching - Jan 27th at the High School
As we get closer to the end of the season, hair has become very chlorine damaged and is ready to be cut short for the championship meets. In the meantime, we have some fun with it. It is a year end, team bonding tradition.
This is never required, and an athlete and parent waiver form / permission slip will be coming out later.
